LittleBear Officially Loves Puzzles

Well, I thought I would find him a few more puzzles since the fire truck puzzle is starting to come apart from constant use. We went to Tuesday Morning again and as soon as LittleBear saw this puzzle, he was sold. Green Eggs & Ham is his favorite book right now and to know that he found a floor puzzle to match with a nifty box that also had a carrying handle was almost too much. I also picked up a wooden 4 puzzle set of construction scenes, but he definitely likes the Green Eggs & Ham puzzle better.

Here he is completing it for the first time...I really thought it would take him longer...

and just for fun, here is our favorite video version :)

And We're BAAAAACK...

Sorry everyone for the lack of pictures around here lately. Our camera broke and it took a week or so to get the new one.

LittleBear has been working full force all week on a 25 piece jigsaw puzzle. He loves fire trucks and loves this puzzle. The first few times I had to help him quite a bit, but as you can see, he is getting much better with practice! We picked this puzzle up for $3 from Tuesday Morning on Monday afternoon and by Friday he knew where most of the pieces went.

Enjoy!

Before Five In A Row: The Snowy Day

Due to what I am terming "scatterbrainedness" on the part of Mommy, I'm a week late in posting this. Last week we read The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and while it certainly wasn't LittleBear's favorite book, we did read it every day and he did seem to enjoy the "games" we played that revolved around the book.

Here is what we had planned for the week:

Day 1-
- Decorate house with paper snowflakes (talk about how each one is different...like God made us) & hang snowballs on fishing line in the window
Day 2-
- Tissue paper art
Day 3-
Day 4-
- Fruit Snowman on a Stick snack

Well, also due to circumstances beyond our control, we didn't get to do the tissue paper art, handprint art or snowflake pattern activities. We did manage to get the others done though and LittleBear enjoyed them all. The cotton balls strung on fishing line sounded like a better idea than it ended up being, so we only got one string done. However, there were LOTS of cotton ball snowball fights throughout the week that made up for it and were enjoyed by all.

Our camera has been having issues, but I did manage to get a small photo gallery done:

Week8-The Snowy Day

We are taking a break this week to regroup...Hopefully next week we'll be back to speed around here!
