Guess Who's Five Months Old! LadyBear!!!

I'm a bit behind, but we're still excited that LadyBear is five months old!  When I initially started writing this, I was thinking, "Holy moly!  Five months already?!"

But then I looked at her and she was saying, "Yup Momma, check it, I'm five months already."

Sigh, time really is flying fast...but I digress. 

LadyBear is doing great!  She wants to be a part of whatever is going on around her and is still very much of an observer.  She stares intently, taking in seemingly every detail.  She seems to be quite the curious little one.  Her favorite thing to do is shove things in her mouth...

In light of that, she is still eating well and starting to sleep a little better.  She loves to spend time in the doorway jumper and still really likes her playmat.  We put a mirror in her room after Christmas and she also loves looking at and talking to herself in that.  She does like to talk and is currently experimenting with the volume of her voice.      :)

She still smiles a lot and is a huge joy to have around. She and LittleBear are really starting to develop an adorable friendship and I really think they might just grow up to be best friends. 

LadyBear's Dedication

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of dedicating LadyBear to the Lord in a service called "Baby D" at our church.  LadyBear was happy until we got up in front of everyone at the service and then she pretty much fussed or cried through the whole thing.  Thankfully some other dear friends of ours got the service on video for us so I can go back and actually hear what was said :)

In this service, she wore a christening dress that my grandmother and I also wore for our respective dedications, and we figure is at least 105 years old.  It is a special family piece and I'm so thankful she got to wear it. 

 We love you, LadyBear!

LadyBear is Jumpin' Jumpin'!

Recently, LadyBear has become a big fan of something her brother loved when he was her age...the doorway jumper.  This little gadget provides loads of fun for everyone, including LittleBear who likes to jump alongside her in doorway.  I love it...they are so cute together!

Forgive the weird lighting in the video/pictures...this is one spot in our house that is really difficult to get a good picture in because of the way it is lit, but it's also ideal for doorway jumping, so we go for it anyway :)

Meet LadyBear's Newest Friend...Bruiser!

LadyBear has a new friend...Bruiser the bear (for those who don't know, Bruiser is Baylor University's costumed mascot)!  A dear Aunt and Uncle gave her some money for Christmas and we thought this pillow pet might be a fun way to spend it.  I think she approves...

LadyBear, this is Bruiser the Bear.

"Oooh, I must get to know him!" (rolls over to him)

"OOOOH, he's fuzzy!!"

Nom nom nom..."he's tasty too!"

Happy Girl.  "Thank you, Aunt S. and Uncle V.!!!!!"

And just because I can't leave him out, LittleBear was inviting Orbit to a roaring game of CandyLand on the other side of the room.
