Presenting a short video of our almost-2-year-old nephew Joseph singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Very cute.

Fun Things From Our Backyard
I was pulling weeds from the herb garden today when I happened upon a wonderful find, a bright green/yellow and black caterpillar (he's a Baylor fan...obviously). I was so excited, I had to pull Jeff over from mowing the lawn to show him...it was very cool. His colors were so vibrant! To find out more about the Zebra Swallowtail butterfly he will grow up to be, click here.
Here are some pictures of the caterpillar:
Here he is from the top:

Rocio's Wedding!
A few weeks ago, one of my dearest friends, Rocio, got married!!!!
I was honored enough to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in Austin, TX and we had a wonderful, fun time. Her wedding was absolutely lovely and the reception was a blast!! Here are a few pictures!!
Bethany & Rocio:
Jeff & Bethany (I wasn't quite sure what to do with the wrap...I never have been one that's very good at accessorizing...):
Rocio & Keith (her new husband):
Here's a picture of the back of my hair!!

No Pirate Ratings Here
One of my favorite jokes goes something like this:
Q: What's that new pirate movie rated?
A: It's rated 'Arrrrrrrrrrrr!', of course!
A better comedian could probably tell it better than that, but I love it anyway.
That's a roundabout way of getting to mention this new tool: What's My Blog Rated?
You'll be glad to know that Jeffany gets a nice family-friendly G. That's in stark contrast to some other blogs we read -- including RunWithGod.com, where I first saw this tool.
Really, that rating probably just means this is a bunch of meaningless chitchat, rather than the in-depth thoughts RunWithGod.com provides. Those thoughts earned that site an R rating, though if site-author Jeff Reed is like me in more ways than just sharing a name, maybe he'll just take that to be an "Arrrrrrrrrrrrr" instead.

New Neighbor in our backyard!
We have a new neighbor...a roadrunner! Yes, it's a real bird. He's really fast, so my pictures are not that great (truthfully, they probably would not be that great even if he was slow), but at least you get an idea of what they look like. Yup, right there behind the crazy rosemary bushes... I'll keep trying to see if I can catch a better picture of him. He's so cute!
Here he is again!!

Bethany's latest project
I finished this up right before we moved, but hadn't had time to post the pictures until now. Growing up in the England house, we had a nativity set somewhat similar to this that I can remember playing with a lot at Christmas time. I thought it would be cool to make a set that we can have around here at Christmas time, and so after much perusing of eBay, I finally found a pattern that would work.
It took forever!!!!!!!!!! Special thanks go to my Mom for helping me figure out the sheep and the wise men turbans and for making the stables and mangers (the directions were not the most clear directions ever)!!! Special thanks go to Mom Brown for all of her encouragement and for rooting me on while I made these!!!
Enjoy the pictures!
Here's the full set:

The Shepherds & Sheep:
The Wise Men:
Post a comment and let me know what you think!!!
